About the BDL.
The German Aviation Association (BDL) consolidates, represents, and promotes the interests of its members to the government, media, and public. German airlines, airports, Deutsche Flugsicherung (air traffic control), ground handling service providers and retail companies are organized within the BDL. The association is open to all German aviation companies and associations.
The German aviation industry is an essential part of Germany’s economic landscape. It is indispensable for a strong, export-oriented economy and a cornerstone of Germany’s global connectivity. Air travel creates mobility, ensures sustainable growth, and connects countries, economic centers, and cultures.
The German aviation industry meets global demands for high levels of climate and environmental protection as well as safety. The association and its members actively address the impacts of air travel on the environment and the population. The BDL is committed to harmonizing climate and environmental protection with safe mobility sustainably.
The German Aviation Association was founded on December 9, 2010, and is located in Berlin-Mitte.
